    Prohibition of baby bottles made of Bisphenol A
    The French National Assembly has adopted a Law (loi n°2010-729 du 30 juin 2010 tendant à suspendre la commercialisation de biberons produits à base de bisphenol A) on 30 June 2010 that prohibits the manufacturing, importation, exportation and placing on the market of baby bottles made of Bisphenol A until further information from the French Agency of Food Sanitary Safety.

    Law n°2010-729 was published on 1 July 2010 in the French Official Journal.

    Study relative to endocrine disrupters

    In addition, Law n°2010-729 includes that no later than 1 January 2011, the French Government will present a report to the French Parliament on measures that should be adopted, or already are adopted, to protect human health from endocrine disrupters. INSERM (Institut National de la Santé Et de la Recherche Médicale/National Institute of Health and Medical Search) is currently reviewing endocrine disrupters.
